Make All the Difference at Hopewell School!
We encourage all parents to share their time and skills to enhance school life at Hopewell. We have a range of activities throughout the year that need parent support. Please consider volunteering in an area that interests you, whether on an occasional or regular basis.
Current Volunteer Needs (Please check back often)
We are now looking for volunteers in the following areas:
Lunch Clubs
Council is looking for volunteers who would like to run a club for students during lunch hour in the spring term. Possible club ideas include: Creative writing, chess, knitting, yoga etc. If you have an idea for a lunch club or if you are interested in leading a club, please email parentspeak@gmail.com and we will contact you.
Ongoing Volunteer Activities:
Help with enrichment activities such as:
- Run a lunch hour club to share a special skill with students
- Assist with the grade 6 space camp, the grade 3 chess tournament, tennis, soccer and ski programs.
- Offer to be a guest speaker and share your expertise.
- Talk with your child’s teacher to see how you might be able to help in the classroom, such as reading to students
Help organize a school social event or fundraiser, such as:
- Pizza lunch program
- Grocery coupons program
- Read-a-thon
- End-of-year BBQ

Other Ways Stay Involved at Hopewell School:
- Send your email address to parentspeak@gmail.com and ask to receive ParentSpeak, Council’s newsletter, electronically.
- Attend School Council meetings on the second Tuesday of each month.
- Attend Hopewell’s meet-the-teacher night and other special events
- Come into the school to check out our bulletin boards and visit our parent resource room (#219) to borrow books on parenting.
